Sneak peak inside the session
"I was a middle school teacher in the Bronx. I taught history for the early part of my career and then became involved in educational technology For those of you that think you have to come out of finance or come out of technology to begin with is not true. As long as you're curious, want to learn and work hard you’ll be alright"
Mary Strain, Hyland
"I was in advertising and media for many years prior. The reason why I chose to enter this new world was because I knew I wanted to get into something much more technology driven. I wanted to sell a product that was software based, but I didn't know much more than those components, so it was really through a couple people that I knew that started to get into the space, and turned me on to it and said you should look at this.
I did some self educating about what it was. I took a course on “what is blockchain’ to see if I thought it was interesting and through that I picked up the interest much more. That pushed me to intentionally look for roles in this field. So it's certainly possible to make a shift”"
Jennifer Senhaji - Maker Foundation
"Although you don't need to be a software developer to get into blockchain, you need a certain level of technical experience as well as a passion for the field"
Alex Davidoff, Alphapont
""As people continue to make strives in the blockchain field it is going to create more and more business development jobs""
